Re: Learning MTH DCS For 2 Rail Operation
I had DCS and TMCC (CAB-1 and CAB-1 Lite) with 3-rail, also had a MTH Z750 with an output of 21VAC. Lionel and others that use TMCC/ERR all said not to use higher than 18VAC, so I bought a Lionel 180w brick with output of 18VAC.
Never understood the "Can run DCS on 2-rail" though, tell us more Jon!

Congrats, Jon! But now ya gotta watch out. They'll be comin' for ya. G3750, Neil, Jlong, and a host of the others will be along to tell ya that ya got sucked in by a kludge system and that it can't possibly work. Should'a went with TMCC, the best and easiest yadda yadda yadda. You'll be sorry, etc.

If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

Use what works for you and your layout...........
So what are you running your Sunset engines with?

John Sethian uses DCS for 2 rail 0 Scale. That is not too bad for company. It's run well every time I've seen it there.

That's ok, I guess. Sound is not something I really care about other than when it's music now.
My first Sunset diesel on the way this Summer will have factory DCC ..........
Ok, DCC....
There’s not a lot I plan to buy from MTH, but if I do it’s nice to have a system set up in place to operate all the features.
I believe that MTH has made very few engines that I might even be more than mildly interested in - I do have an H-3 that was milkdly modified and all the electronics gutted back to just a DC engine. That gets me all the features I need.....

It just irritates this curmudgeon to no end. Then again, I'm just happy if the engine or train just gets around the room.
I'm going to put on my Editor's hat and reject a few manuscripts - crush the hopes and dreams of someone 1/2 way around the world - that should cheer me up a bit.
