Re: Recent acquisitions & restoration projects.....
Clearing out the shelves a bit and opening up kits to part ways with.......
An older Main Line kit (why that Athearn paperwork was included is a mystery) that I had thought would be fun to relax with building....... except..... the roof is missing..... and the floor is missing ....and the end block (well, I think that's what they are...) are too short for the sides, and the doors that someone made are mismatched... and, so okay then.....could be a salvage exercise. Not sure if there are enough detail parts in the bag to do this car but not a problem there. Grandt Line narrow gauge reefer hatches....we'll see how those look....
Actually, this provided an opportunity to install a better floor and underbody than the kit every provided. And, I'm betting that just about everything other than the sides went into the trash box...
Well, this is another done project....

So: Scratchbuilt except for the sides. Well done!

Other than the 4 parts for the sides and the milled roof, pretty much so....
Probably easier to sell a RTR car than an incomplete kit,

BTW: the British Firefly was a 17-pounder gun mounted on a Sherman chassis. Devastated Tiger tanks. FWIW.

I have seen several times that you have taken what appears to be a bunch of mismatched parts and turned them into something very nice.
However I know nothing about the 2 R scale market.
Your builds always look great to me.
Got to admit that almost anything you 2 R guys do looks great to me, someone who cannot/will not even attempt anymore.

Wish I could use that excuse but I am allergic to eggs. Just old eyes and fingers.
I should change it but you apparently got a good laugh from it so I'll leave it.
It should be put a banana. I'm also allergic to bananas.
