Experimenting with some cheap Hobby Lobby “LED rope lights”. They actually appear to be filament bulbs and not LEDS. Liars!

I’ve got a roll of 3100K strip LED’s on the way that should work.

Beautiful, Jon.
I can't tell from the photo, have you put "people" in the car?
If not, do you intend to?

Hi Roger! The early MTH aluminum cars had no interiors or people. I’ll be running them with a few of the newer plastic body cars that have have interiors and peeps, though.

This 3100K LED strip lighting should work out fine. :D

Maybe too good, as it now clearly shows the lack of an interior!

Who sells drop-in interiors?

I see this company sells interior items, but at $2.50 a seat I’ll spend more on 1 interior then I spent on both cars!

I've caught the tail end of this thread and it looks like a lot of good stuff.

I think I have 2 unopened boxes of MTH passenger trucks. I don't think I'll have any use for them but I have to go look at what I've got.

Jon,
What will be your locomotive of choice?
I assume one from UP.

Roger, my plan is the UP 4-8-4, but there’s always the UP Challenger for backup duty!

I have thought that a UP loco with the cab and tender painted to match the train would have been a real looker.

My personal preference would be the Challenger for first-line duty.
