Maybe with enough isolation and shielded from the rest of the world things were okay. My time with my grandparents was special. The rest of my childhood, not so much......

Sorry for that. We didn't have money and it was always a contentious subject at my house and slapped you with reality all the time, but maybe that's what instilled me to see the world through a half filled glass, rather than half empty. My maternal grandfather was my train buddy and although he passed when I was 10, he instilled or strongly supported my love of trains and taught me Latin, so I could be the youngest alter boy at our church.

Yup. It has a way of doing that upside your head....

Is that really a painting? If so, this is the most remarkable painting of yours I've seen IMHO. I was going to congratulate you on a remarkable photo that is so warm and beautiful and then realized this is most likely a painting. You've been blessed with a remarkable talent.

Happy TG day guys.

Yes, I think I saw them all and your "mirror" image is always mind boggling. Nothing like a terminal approach yard to ignite the imagination. So many choices, so many destinations, so much beautiful rail. The epitome of busy terminal and this one is sleeping and waiting for it's day to begin or it's a major holiday.

Nice play on words. Tramps art depicts a time when kerosene heaters were being used to keep the switches thawed. The heaters are now natural gas fed. I believe this section of the railroad is now owned by Warren Buffet.

Congratulations Tramp and thank you for revealing another of your mind-blowing artworks.

Funny how everything is always changing. My art is about that, but I have trouble accepting it sometimes.

Change is a constant.

My art is about that, but I have trouble accepting it sometimes.

There is resistance to change; comfort in the status quo can be seductive.
