For how long, within the history of this planet, have ETs been visiting and leaving evidence of their having been on Earth ?

Well, considering there are about 1000 shows on Amazon, Netflix and other TV stations about UFO's, there is either more evidence being discovered or Hollywood is just getting better at showing us the same old crap.

May I refer you to the Nazca Lines in Peru, involving 1,000 sq. miles of pre-Columbian figures, 300 of them.

Evidence? If you consider evidence some drunk guy in a corn field in Alabama at 2am on a Saturday night well then it’s been going on forever.

Now if you mean real evidence there is none.

Murph, the square miles covered by these geoglyphs varies with who is reporting on them. Measurements from satellite images yield the area to be 170 sq mi. In the years leading up to 2020, between 80 and 100 new figures had been found with the use of drones. The number of known Nazca geoglyphs amounted to 358 in 2022.

The concept of alien influence came from Swiss writer Erich von Däniken. He trashes and rebukes scientists who have studied Nazca, their research using radiocarbon tests to date the figures, their analyses of ceramic shards at the various sites, and also their careful dissections of Native American religious beliefs.

Scientists and archeologists such as Maria Reiche declared that his ideas were absurd and should be discarded. These scientists and archeologists also were able to prove that these lines could have been made using simple tools that would have been available to the people at the time they were created.

I side with neither science and archaeology nor von Daniken.

End note: I am clueless about the meaning of the Nazca Lines in Peru.

I do like this sort of thing and have watched a few shows over the decades, but have always come away disappointed. There are some pretty remarkable ancient structures and designs all around the world that leave you wondering "how was that done". But, so far, no irrefutable proof of anything.

Wayne, “Answer sheet”? No. That is why I enjoy asking others what they think or theorize , which is how I can learn and grow, hopefully.

That’s also why I watch such shows as “Ancient Aliens” and “The UnXplained” on my cable channel 47, which I find intriguing.

For example, the phenomenon of pyramids having been built on various continents, by civilizations (?) which would never have come in contact with each other, especially not to exchange mega-construction methods and projects (!)

Examples would be:
Indonesia: Gun ung Panang (so?)
Peru: Sican
Guatemala: El Mirador
Gisa plateau
El Castillo, Chichen Itza, Teotihuacan pyramid complex
China (dozens of hidden pyramids)

Yes, indeed.
And even finding out that decisions have been made and orders dictated which have declared there are reports about which we, the public, are not to be allowed to become aware, suggests strongly there is something there.

If this alleged intelligent life does exist how is it that our government can control their coming and going and where they choose to be seen or not to be seen?

If I had to guess I’d say drones are a likely possibility. They’ve become quite sophisticated.

I agree Wayne, we watch a lot of history, nature and ancient civilization shows and the similarity of pyramid type structures in Egypt, Central and South america is intriguing to say the least. And there are plenty of other curiosities from the ancient world, that just don't make sense.

Remember the movie "Stargate"? Still a fun movie to watch and someones clever answer to the question.
