Been busy at NASA

Postby PC9850 » Thu Sep 15, 2022 9:40 pm

Hello all! Nice to see a lot of familiar names still active around here. Got nostalgic for the train forums again and figured I'd drop by and give an update. Took the camera skills from model trains to Cape Canaveral in recent years. Rockets were always my favorite machine next to trains, and I finally had the resources to move to the Cape during the pandemic. Got good enough at photographing them I've joined the press pool that goes inside the gates and sets up remote cameras on the pad. I've worked several missions now setting up cameras on the very pads that the Apollo and Space Shuttles launch from, LC-39A and LC-39B. I've actually brought the MTJ traveling boxcar into the NASA VAB where the new SLS moon rocket was but did not have enough time to get it out for pictures LOL. What a journey it's been, I hope some of these pictures might be interesting to those here with similar interests in space.
