Seen in Print
Re: Seen in Print
In Pa. you need to give a bicycle rider 4 foot of space as you pass them. It's part of the new share the road program. A few of these punks ride around with 4ft. of pipe insulation taped to their bike. They are trying to show drivers what 4ft. of space his. I really enjoy ridding a bicycle. Weather permitting i ride 18 miles a night. I do this around a lake. Peace valley lake has a 6 mile path around it. It's a great place to ride. until you find a dog owner that does not know what a 6 ft. dog leash is. Frigging people use 15 foot of rope to walk their dogs. Dog is on one side of the path while the owner is 15 foot away on the other side with a rope 3 ft. off the ground. The most annoying thing is the bright outfitted cyclist who thinks he's Lance Armstrong.
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

Re: Seen in Print
I don't mind the bastards riding on the (wrong side of the) road, but do they have to cross over to the other side (in front of oncoming traffic without looking behind them) whenever a car approaches them?!?!?!
That tells me they know the rules of the road (riding in the direction the cars are moving) but they don't follow them.
I guess the reason people are suppose to walk facing traffic is so they can jump out of the way if a car is headed towards them, fat chance of that happening too!
Want to know how I know...I was coming out of the library (remember those?) one night (about 9-10 yrs old) and my dad had parked across the street. I looked both ways then proceeded to dart across the street, when a 1950ish Chevy swooshed by and clipped me in the stomach with the door handle.
Not a scratch, except when I got to the car my dad whipped my ***. Needless to say I never ran out in front of anything after that. It probably scared him more than it did me.

I wouldn't use the word "stupid" here. "Ignorant" might be kinder. Ignorant can be fixed with knowledge.
Walmart moved into Germany and Poland in 1997/1998 by taking over the Wertkauf and Interspar supermarket chains. It was not popular and was forced to withdraw from the countries in 2006.

We have similar products sold in the United States, such as Cranberry Juice (ever tried it hot?) or pills:=> https://www.swansonvitamins.com/HealthC ... act+Health

While perhaps all too true, too many also willingly embrace ignorance. Ignorance may be bliss, but it's still ignorance.

Re: Seen in Print
...and in my experience, a truly ignorant person doesn't even want to learn. Their egotism stands in the way of their opening up the mind enough to learn more, or to learn a new way.
(Am I reminded here of a certain colossal ego, often on the news, who blows hard but has little substance to back it up, nor any apparent interest in learning from any potentially helpful and edifying army of qualified and experienced voices?)
