Barn find 53 Studebaker car hauler. The cab is the barn find, they have 2 and are constructing a second toter. The rear deck on this one is all diamond plate aluminum.

Wish I could see more of it -- looks like it's been in the barn for about 5 min!

While waiting in the dealership for my Benz ML to have its check-up, today, I noticed a handsome vehicle in the waiting-area for accepting and returning of cars to owners. It was soooooooooooooo good looking and impressive, I actually walked over to it to read the badges on its trunk, which read, "S 500" on the right side and Maybach on the left side. Also, there was a badge I had never seen before on a Mercedes, on its coachwork panel rear of the rear doors, and some extra brushed-stainless/chrome (?) trim above its rear doors that I thought were particularly effective highlights.

Do any of you know anything about this vehicle? I sure did like it, though having my third SUV-type vehicle, currently, I thought had weaned me off low-slung sedans. However, this car seemed roomy enough for my frame and current lifestyle. Opinions? Viewpoints? Prejudices? Affections? Murph

OK. And Thank you, Healey. (I should have known - it was just too beautiful.) I just looked it up on Google and got a dose of reality. It's not even in my picture frame for possibilities. If I win a lottery, I'll let you know. Wow. Anyolways, it sure was good looking.

Murph, why give up on huge, forged steel SUV's? Isn't the idea to utterly total the other guy, without even scratching your vehicle?

Oh, I sure haven't given up on SUVs. I like mine very much and do feel secure in it. It was just that that Maybach reminded me, somehow, of how cars used to be, like Cadillacs and Lincolns. And when I say "used to be," I am sure you know what circa I mean.

But within a price like that, for that car, there's some good I'd rather do with such money between its price and the price for my ML instead of even thinking of indulging myself with a purchase like that. I guess that makes me sound like a schmutz to some minds, but there is something to be said for sharing and not just lavishing oneself with good looking stuff. And I think I knew it was going to be too-good-to-be-mine but it was okay , imagining and hoping for just a little while, with a whole lot of wishful-thinking thrown in for good measure.
