Jon, every so often during your time there, jump up and spin around and yell "Gotcha!". Scare the hell outa them indians. They're very fast, and they hide behind trees. You'll wish you did if you get an arrow in the ***. If I were you, I'd wear a frying pan in your pants, too. Ignore the taunts from your fellow-soldiers; trust me, you'll get the last laugh!

I think Willy meant to say he's been caught by the "harlots"! Knowing him, that'd be more believable!

This has moved beyond 'get-together'. It's turning into a hobo convention!

"Healot"? What's a "healot"?

In "Meet John Doe", the great Frank Capra film, Gary Cooper is a hobo who Barbara Stanwyck finds down by the yards and makes into an imaginary figure called John Doe who is planning to kill himself on New Year's Eve as a protest. This is all done cynically to lend veracity to a fake on-going newspaper feature. See the movie to find out what happens and how this all snow balls out of control.

Anyway, Coop's friend is played by Walter Brennan, who wants no part of all this. He tells Coop the "healots" have got him, a word which is never explained, and has no other etymology that I know of.

Ok, You 'bo's!! Here's the best I can do for a meeting!! Let me know what you think!! I'm thinking I'll be in classes Saturday until around 4:00Pm anyhow. Even if we can get together to tip one beer and head off, it would be the perfect end to a school from hell trip!!

Pete, Thanks for the tip!! I'm not taking any chances with the Injuns. I bought a 9" cast iron skillet at the PX this afternoon. I'll be wearing it in formation tomorrow morning. Is it proper to set it on a burner before wearing? The mornings are a tid bit chilly up in these parts.

Ok, Maybe I've been a little to sober lately. I just joined MTH's Premier Club for 50.00 to get the Pennsy REA. I think it's pretty sharp. And hopefully it will arrive with Pennsylania on the side and not Transylvania!!

Not freezing here either. Its 92 °F this morning. 100 °F predicted.
The local joke in Tucson is that the ice on the Santa Cruz river
breaks up when the temperature reaches 100 °F. I think this may
be the day. (The Santa Cruz is a large dry river that runs through
Tucson.)
