On Sunday, in Montana, 30mi south of Ennis, a 17yr old boy was attacked by a Grizzly. At first, the bear pinned him up against an tree; then let him drop to the ground. He tried to crawl away to a space between two trees but the bear followed him closely, quickly holding him face-down ion the ground. The boy was able to reach into his backpack and grab hold of his bear spray, giving the bear a face-full. The bear left.

This renews my faith in a lot of things, and does so just in the nick-of-time as I contemplate whether to make one of my traditional sojourns to Upstate NY this Spring or Summer, returning to Brake Hill Road forest, just outside Homer, NY. :?

Useful for those pesky wasps that shoot out of the mouths of those sharks with laser beams on their backs that frequent the area.

By "those sharks," could you be referring to the Dirt Sharks that "frequent the area" around bike champions like Axell Hodges ?

Hey Murph, instead of a cat maybe you could get yourself a cute cuddly bear for a pet.

Murph, all you will need is a hot tub to keep your PET bear entertained.

According to Strickland, one of the cubs hopped into the bubbling hot tub and even closed its eyes in relaxation.

You're a fun guy, HONDO. :)
Beyond that, I don't know what to say. :? :P

P. S. BTW, very close to around here, in Morristown, several coyotes have been seen strolling the streets and yards, and giving special attention to the smaller pets. Those coyotes are the ones that have been seen. Fortunately, quite some time ago, I had gotten into the habit of taking a weapon with me when I go out late to put the garbage to the curb, for example.

Maybe not putting your garbage out overnight to attract varmints would be something to consider?
