Murph
Be careful if you go to Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania woman attacked by bear, dragged more than 80 yards, officials say

A Pennsylvania woman is in critical condition following a gruesome black bear attack, officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission said.

The bear reportedly dragged Melinda Lebarron, of Muncy Creek Township, by her leg for more than 80 yards before she was able to escape the animal and crawl back to her home to call for help, WNEP-16 reported.

Lycoming Co.

"the bear may have been attracted to deer parts from a recent hunting trip that was left near the woman’s home."

I'm betting that Murph traveling into Pa with deer parts from a recent hunting trip is unlikely. Bears tend to need some reason to involve themselves with humans. Having deer parts layout about outside is pretty stupid in a rural setting and tends to be a great way to attract all sorts of problems.

OK. First, Thank You for the warning and information, Hondo. :o
Secondly, Rufus, I promise not to wander PA or Upstate NY with any body parts in my possession, at any time whatsoever, nor anywhere near me, like strapped to the hood of the SUV for holiday decorative effect, nor in the Springtime to celebrate sunshine, not from deer nor any other animal, not even the occasional chicken part. Not even a burger from a fast-food outlet.
Wow. What a wild forum we have. Very nice, guyz.

Ummm, you are allowed to be in possession of your own body parts at all times. Do make sure that you have them with you at all times and have not mislaid or misplaced any of them, anywhere, at any time. Replacements are not available from the factory and you will have to accept generic replacements when needed. By the way, you are also past your sell by date.

The use by date is more important, I think.

You can exceed the sell by date and still be usable. It's the expiration date that is the problem. None of us have reached that one yet.     On second thought I could be wrong.

True. I take advantage of that fact quite regularly.

The surgeon said, "It was dead," so I figured it was too gross for Holiday viewing. After all , we are somewhat conservative and draw-the-line at amputated body parts displays.

You have to worry about the ones not having fun.....that are lurking in your basement. And you thought that bump in the night you heard was just your imagination......

No. We figured it was you, so I have been sending my wife down there to check. And she's been coming back smiling. :?
