Another hint: All the clues are on the receiver of the rifle I am holding in this photo. Now, what is the rifle and why is it more significant than any other Arisaka rifle?

Arisaka type 99 "Last ditch". The grip and mono pod have been eliminated and the sights simplified. These were mass produced near the end of the war.

No, it belongs to my wife. I found out that the pile of training bombs out by the creek is hers also.

I collect Lionel trains and fountain pens.
Here is an Esterbrook 9450 bookkeepers pen (circa 1950) I just found at one of my neighbor's yard sale last Sunday.
