You posted the church after the picture I commented on. I see the large stained glass window in the church's front, but otherwise, I'm not terribly impressed with the architecture.

...............sigh.

Do, or did, Lutherans separate parishioners by sex?

Lots of denominations had separate entrances based upon gender; this horse has been beaten into a small puddle now.

As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

I certainly did take notice of the Lutheran church, and had intended commenting on it, but hadn't gotten to it yet.

It looks that way from the number of poles.

Dillsburg Branch was dual - they took an old Jackson & Sharp combine and put traction motors in the one end and it pulled a trailer. The poles on the car were offset from center since the wire was set off similarly since they also ran steam on the same line.

Postcard dated 1911:

After a harrowing ride on the CVRR, one could head over to St. Mary's and get themselves sorted. On another card I have, this is noted as a CVRR/Norfolk & Western station.
