I just now saw on TV, included in the protests going on, a woman wearing a T-shirt that depicted a clothing hanger across its bosom with the words: Never Again.
I found that to be particularly poignant and just about solidified my viewpoint on the topic of abortion, a woman's right to chose, and right-to-life , all aspects of a difficult consideration about which I have vacillated all along, for decades.

Still, when the Atlantic magazine reported this week that an antiabortion group, New Wave Feminists, was an official partner of the march, the backlash was strong. The march organizers quickly dropped the group and apologized, writing in a statement that “we look forward to marching on behalf of individuals who share the view that women deserve the right to make their own reproductive decisions.”

Our secretary is marching in D.C. She had told us that antiabortion people were not welcome. I didn't believe her. I blow off her statement as a young girl not knowing that all feminists were for all females. after you mentioned the shirt it snapped back into my head. so i googled it. Obviously you can't stop someone from marching with you on a public street. That being the shirt you saw. They just don't all see eye to eye. funny liberalism not so Liberal after all.
The poor girl still cries every time trumps name is mentioned. I guess the prozac her Dr. gave her is not working. I had to stop the guys in our shop from talking about trump. Thursday after the election she came to work with a red chapped nose. Apparently Kleenex are not as soft as you think. They had rubbed her nose raw from wiping away the tears.

They were on the stage when we turned in to see what all ruckus was about.....and pretty hard to miss everywhere else.

We heard something about all the parking lots filled and people walking across the bridges to get into DC on the radio coming back from breakfast. Never heard of crowds of that size in DC ever before so we took a look to see what was going on here and the rest fo the country, and then the world. Been along time since I've seen those numbers and crowds for anything.

Hoping not to sound too trite, but I have to ask, where do all those people go tp the restroom in such an area? If I recall correctly, in Wash. DC, around that reflecting pool and the whole area from the Capitol to the Washington Monument, there are only public buildings (closed on weekends and probably during the inauguration), no bars and restaurants one might pretend to go in for business, just to do ones business. And one could look at NYC almost the same way, you just can't go marching into a café etc. and expect to fool anybody about your intention upon entering the establishment. But DC, liked Rome, has nothing in and around the neighborhood of the main attraction. A quarter million people is a lot of need. Jus' sayin' and a wonderin' . Yup? Any bright ideas about this? Any actual been-there-done-that experiences to share?
