The first time I saw one of the RNC debates I noticed the similarities, surprised one of his opponents didn't make a remark :?

I would say "Let's give him a chance", the same kind of chance Boehner, McConnell, and Graham gave Obama the last 8 years (which was zilch), but I hope for our sakes it goes off better than the last 8 years.

I really don't lean one way or the other and have voted for both parties. I try to vote for who I think will do the most good for this country, but this "If you're not with us you're against us", "Either my way or the highway", plus the Pitbull mentality has got to stop NOW! There's 537 (100 senate, 435 house, prez and vice prez) elected officials in DC supposedly running this country (and probably 10 times that many beltway bandits) and it's time they did their jobs.

Oh, they're doing their jobs. It's just that jobs they're doing don't benefit the citizenry very much.

On the Mussolini look thingie...for eight years we've been subjected to the same poses by Hussein (pbuh) except skinny with jug ears. Don't remember caterwauling here about that.

All of you, (except for Rex), got on the Democrat and Media train, with an effort to de-legitimize the President Elect before he ever gets to the White House. Can't wait to hear what ya have to say the first time one of his policies fail to make it through Congress in his first 100 days!

Told ya so!! Knew it, he's an a$$hole! America's goin' down the tubes for sure now!

Give him a chance. He'll have a Congressional Majority behind him, though Schumer has already vowed to be obstructionistic right away.
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

Well, what Schumer actually said was "We'll work with him where we're in agreement and oppose him where we disagree", what he didn't say was "It's my main job to ensure he is a one term president". Seems like some folks can't seem to call things down the middle. As for the Mussolini stuff, split your screen, shut off the sound, and put Mussolini giving a speech in the 1920's and Trump giving a speech in the 2016, you'll see it. I truly hope, like most American's, that Mr. Trump can get the job done, but I earnestly hoped that for his two predecessor's also. Perhaps if the "honorable gentlemen" in Congress could all do the same, the country wouldn't be in the situation it is in.

Well, it seems that there are closet Trump defenders who stay silent for fear of giving offense. Not me; I'm too old to give a shit.
re the Congress. Always has been a despicable group of self-promoting swine. See, e.g. comments by Mark Twain and H.L Mencken. The Continental Congress acted despicably during the Revolution and didn't improve under the Constitution.
I expect the Dhimmicrats to obstruct everything proposed by Trump. They don't worry me. It's the RINO's in the supposed majority who do. Perhaps Trump could look to LBJ for inspiration: when Sen Richard Russell was working to block the 1964 Civil Rights Act, LBJ told him "get out of my way on this or I'll run you over." 8)

Well, the POTUS can only do so much, it's Congress we need to worry about.

Look at what they do to the budget each year, why do they have to wait until the government nears shutting down to vote to keep it open? Nothing but politics at play.

Here's what we need to do...build a barracks and MAKE them live in it. Allow/make them to go back to their districts for 1 week every other month and actually listen to what their constituents have to say. For every vote they miss, fine them.

Term limits.

Give each candidate $1million of taxpayer money and 1 hour of free TV time to run their election/reelection campaign, NO outside contributions.

Get the beltway bandits and other special interest groups the hell away from DC. It's WE THE PEOPLE folks, not we the industrial complex. Prohibit military officers from holding office for 5 years after they get out of the military, the defense industry has become a perpetual motion machine (and I even worked for them, I say this because I saw it firsthand).

I hope Trump can bring jobs back from overseas, I also hope he can reduce/eliminate the amount of $$$ we GIVE to other countries.

Also fix the tax system and startup a program to fix our infrastructure (as long as it doesn't look like the fiasco that happened during hurricane Sandy).

Terrorists...kill them all.

And remember, just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't mean they're evil, just different.

Curious. How do you make Congress anything that they don't vote in favor of?

Term limits.

Takes an amendment to the Constitution - see above on getting Congress to do what it doesn't want to do....

Give each candidate $1million of taxpayer money and 1 hour of free TV time to run their election/reelection campaign, NO outside contributions.

See above on getting Congress to do what it doesn't want to do.... They like being able to accumulate a slush fund that they can later pocket.

Get the beltway bandits and other special interest groups the hell away from DC. It's WE THE PEOPLE folks, not we the industrial complex.

Ok, how?

Prohibit military officers from holding office for 5 years after they get out of the military, the defense industry has become a perpetual motion machine (and I even worked for them, I say this because I saw it firsthand).

There actually are some laws against this and against Gov't employees doing it as well that getting increasingly restrictive with rank - maybe just enforcing them would be novel?

I hope Trump can bring jobs back from overseas,

Doable if folks are willing to take cuts in pay and pensions - that will put a good down spiral into the economy.

I also hope he can reduce/eliminate the amount of $$$ we GIVE to other countries.

Some have good reasons to be done and some I confess are head scratchers - I suspect some have more to do with a member of Congress and whoever is paying for their election(s).

Also fix the tax system

To work more in the favor of corporations and screw over everyone else that's not a 1%er? Flat tax? Pick a number that will actually work, and will get through Congress w/o a million exemptions which resets us back to the starting point....

and startup a program to fix our infrastructure (as long as it doesn't look like the fiasco that happened during hurricane Sandy).

Before it all collapses......w/o all the non-competed contracts that let the money vanish............

Terrorists...kill them all.

Try to avoid killing everyone else....

And remember, just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't mean they're evil, just different.

Nice thought - all too many people can't accept that one.

Too many fanatics being told what to think in this country; too few people unable or unwilling to think for themselves; too many people too angry to accept anything but their anger; too many people looking to blame others for their own mistakes; too many people unwilling to accept responsibility for themselves.

Lots of "do this" but no "how to" that even begins to make any sense.

Merry Christmas!

HELP?!!!! Please.
I am tapping this message out on my iPhone because I got a "notice" on my laptop, yesterday, which continues to appear every time I try to go on the internet by attaching my Verizon modem to its port. The entire screen goes blue, end to end, top to bottom, with no desktop visible nor any arrow of the mouse's movement.

If I don't try to go to yahoo for my mail and this forum, for example , and don't insert the modem, the entire screen is normal and I have full use of the several files iconed on the screen.

The intruding screen, blue with white writing, reads as follows:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer....
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
"...

Then further down, after other odd statements, at the bottom of the full-screen page, it says:
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete....

Help? :?
