Jon, some good wisdom!
(Cold enough for you, tonight?
Old battery had a bad cell. New battery solved the automatic door locking, but not the headlight and radio flickering. New symptom: antitheft horn-blowing started one day, and wouldn't quit. I had to pull the horn-fuse to drive to work, but the relay was clicking all the way. Had to take the ground-cable off the battery at work so it wouldn't kill the battery. New alternator time, as the old one was putting out what? 13.4? Barely breaking even.
Old one extracted...
New one in.
The evening I did it, 14 degrees outside, but 62 in my 'Farmall shop'. Awesome!
(Knock on wood), everything is thus far back to normal.
Leah Elizabeth turned ten today! How 'bout it!
The years just keep rolling rolling rolling along.
