I don't think they were called "disco" balls but I do remember several dining halls in local parks that were turned into dance floors after the evening meal.
Usually on Friday and Saturday evenings. Skating rinks ( remember them?) also had the "disco" balls.

While it's a pretty simple device, I mistakenly thought they were a relatively recent invention (say, forty or so years ago). But now that I think about it, as you noted, the local skating rink had some sort of gizmo it used to diffuse light over the skaters. BTW, I think the local rink closed just a few years ago, but there's one in Hanover PA that's still open...the Magic Elm Skateland.

Reminds me of those that I have seen on Sunday morning going forward crying and asking for forgiveness and by Monday they are doing the same $hit they asked forgiveness for. Or those that give large sums of money to the church thinking they are buying a ticket to heaven.

That church does have some interesting detail and would be a great model.

Think so.....well, not been by right there for years, but this main line is still in good use and the bridges elsewhere are all still there. Used to go fishing around there with my grandfather.

You posted the church after the picture I commented on. I see the large stained glass window in the church's front, but otherwise, I'm not terribly impressed with the architecture.

Do, or did, Lutherans separate parishioners by sex?
