It seems the tower was a hotel attached to the boat house of a man made recreational lake. The CVRR ran down one side of the lake and the WM down the other plus there was a local trolley line.

Interesting.I wonder if that is a stairway of some type leading down from the tower to the water.

Today very little remains of the once great park.

Trolley line was the C&G - Chambersburg and Gettysburg which ran over towards Gettysburg but I think terminated at the Caledonia Park.... If you go over the firemen on parade photos, there a photo of the the east station viewed facing west which shows what I think is that trolley line.

No sure about the fountain but I think the rest of the center square stuff is there - I tend to avoid heading through the center of Chambersburg and have not been there for a while now.

Yes, Gettysburg does have a center square monument thing that you have to navigate around. Seems to be a fairly standard design standard in that area.
