Very aware of its value - we were buying barns in PA for salvage in the 70's. Hard work but very lucrative.

Not to the same extent but the lack of tobacco in Kentucky has had a similar effect as the lack of the coal and steel business in the Rust Belt.
I think you could refer to the Tobacco Belt as well to be almost gone.
