Re: Car Thread
Thanks Murph for that timely and useful information. I'm an ankle/leg crosser too but my hip joints don't like it so I can't do it for more than about ten minutes. It also makes my leg bones ache. Ditto in bed I keep trying to cross legs but cant find a comfortable spot like it used to be when young...

Re: Car Thread
I'm glad you posted that Roger. Not that I'm happy you are suffering but because I've had exactly the same problem for at least the last 20 years and I recently learned that my reliance on ibuprofen may have been responsible for the kidney damage the doc recently informed me about. Tylenol never wor...

Re: From the Firefly Shops.........
Rufus your models are exquisite and unusual, the sort of stock I'd like to buy if only to display them! What they make me think of is Roland Emmetts railway which was actually built for the 1950's Festival of Britain but otherwise existed only as cartoons in Punch magazine. Come to think of it, thos...

A sad little thing for you Healey, I have a friend like that. I'm sure we could both write a better notice of passing (can't think of the right word!). I'm sure he would have appreciated your action in putting that up here where it belongs. Mike

Re: Royal Enfield
A pretty good choice of death traps! I nearly killed myself on a Vincent because I didnt realize how fast I was going, the speedo wasnt working and the engine note sounds like its just past idle when you're doing 90. besides I had my hands full trying to keep the damn thing on the road, weird suspen...

Re: From the Firefly Shops.........
Wonderful models Rufus and Joseph. I like Rufus' work because it's unusual, beautifully executed (that MOW wagon with the winch and cable drum looks like the real thing) and he doesn't fudge the delicate spidery looking pieces such as truss rods and brake rigging, thats the real give away of highly ...

Re: Car Thread
Nah! not for me, too many jello mold sportscars, wouldn't touch any Italian motor no matter who makes it. Best 3? The Mercedes SSK, the Bentley Continental, the Corvette Sting Ray. Runners up the Duesenberg, the Morgan Aereo, Shelby Cobra. What no E type? Lose the chrome trim, fair in the headlights...

Re: Hobo Jungle
Great looking scene Jon and Rufus' vehicles look too good to be true. It would be a shame to do this but they would probably benefit from some weathering to make them look their age. Or how about really pushing the envelope and giving them the circus train treatment with bright paintwork and letteri...

I haven't heard about this registration crap nor from whom it emanates but if its the usual mob they need to register too since a bigger bunch of drones you'll never find!
That Sparta diorama is bloody excellent for imagination and execution.

A baby Crocodile! What a neat looking loco, that would be fun to model, especially if the panto and pole were given the wires to run on track and street, something cobbled perhaps a dockyard setting?

Re: Hobo Jungle
I bet I'm the only fan of the Pacer but when it came out I thought it was a cool looking car! Mind you I never understood why people took against the Edsel either! When I came to America my first car was a huge AMC Ambassador station wagon, I traded a Norton Atlas for it poor guy I hope he had more ...

Re: Royal Enfield
The T120 'Prestige' version would be my choice. I've ridden motorcycles all my life (up until 2011), as my only means of transport, in all weathers and its my opinion that the 'sit up and beg' riding position is by far the safest for everyday road use because its the most comfortable, gives you the ...

'Thankyou Jesus!'
You're welcome. Now go forth and sin no more but if you can't manage that go fifth of the liquor of your choice.
