I just spent about 10 minutes perusing the Eldred Main Street. I could not find any building seen in the photo. I wouldn't know it was the same town. It certainly has changed a lot during the last 110 years or so.

What strikes me as most unusual is the rectangular box above the steam chest. It appears to have two valve rods. Maybe one was a riding cutoff in lieu of the standard adjustable Stevenson link gear.

Both buildings in the photo are extant and in excellent condition. The station, now a museum, has lost its tower and corresponding roof section.
