I would like to add my voice to the chorus welcoming the return of MTJ.
A big thank you to Lee for getting this forum back up and running!

Re: SP Mogul
Actually, the locomotive paint schemes were quite ornate and colorful in the early days until
austerity measures were instituted during the later half of the Ninetenth Century...
Steam locomotives were weren't always "basic black"!

Re: Joe Foehrkolb
I first met Joe through friends at the Strasburg O Scale show. He was always interested in my projects and readily offered advice on how to accomplish my goals better and more easily. That Lobaugh Cab Forward that he tuned up and tweaked for me was "a bit of an adventure", to put it mildly...

Re: Roger Roush
I've only met Roger through this forum, and I second all the opinions that he was a gentleman
in the truest sense of the word. I do not believe I have ever seen a cross word in any of his posts.
He always had uplifting things to say.
Clear track and high greens, Roger!

I agree with him being interesting to talk to when I met him at OSW a few years back.

Is there even such a thing as "too many Cab Forward photographs"?? Either finished or "under construction"!
Please post some more, Bob!

Re: Frederic Model Co. ???
I guess I'm guilty of lurking too often/too much.
If I get my image hosting sorted out, I will be contributing more often.
Do not want to "exceed the board limit" by posting images directly to MTJ....
But I do read the comments with interest!

Re: No comment:
Well, I will offer a comment, or rather, an observation... Never saw that orientation on ANY caboose end ladders on any cabooses (or for you PRR types, "cabin" cars!) that I ever came across! In a 90-degree orientation to usual layout, and looks as if you have to climb up the back side of ...

Don't know NK well enough to navigate it well...but I am also not a member, so I couldn't post there anyway...

Re: Southern Pacific Steam 2020
I'm afraid that most of my loco roster consists of commercial models, which not as interesting as your (Turner's) scratchbuilt versions. However, I do have a smattering of kit-built and scratch-built models that I picked up at shows, auctions, etc. I may get off my rear end and get a picture of my Lo...

Wow! You hardly ever see anyone modelling locomotive power on shop trucks!

J.S.Bach missing in action
Just to let everyone know, and maybe someone has influence with the System Administrator, but Dave K., aka J.S.Bach, has been unable to sign in after changing his ISP and email address. He has tried contacting the SysAdmin several times over the course of many days, but has never received any reply ...

I would second that the package is partly German (Roman alphabet) and partly cyrillic alphabet.
Love that English inscription circling the "Made in Bavaria" label...
"Original Recipe from House Germes" lends itself to being misread if not read carefully
