That Pacific looks great Bob and the boiler taper is a thing of beauty. Long way from a doorstop, but I like them all.

I've noticed a car forum I frequent has been very slow as well. Might be the weather, as we should be having early fall temps by now, but seems we're still languishing in summer weather. We're still cooking in OK with high 90's and lots of 100+ days......and no change in sight. We got maybe 1/4"...

Yeah, that is an interesting car for sure. I remember seeing lots of the H&P kits at shows even decades ago, but that load is amazing. Subtle weathering just makes it come alive. The detail and clean castings make it look like it would spin and function. Nice!

Pretty quiet around here so I'll toss in my meager amount of work on this project. There has been lots of stops and starts, delays hunting for parts and waiting for them to be delivered. Wow, &195-200 for a RTR loco. That would be hard to explain to the wife. It was a rich man's hobby if you couldn't fabricate your own models.

I like it Dennis. Almost looks like someone pulled a vacuum which sucked the tank down in places. Interesting car at the very least.
