I'm a big fan of old Marx tin-plate trains. Nothing can quite compare to the sight and sound of colorful tin-plate trains traveling around tin-plate rails. Unfortunately, time has not been kind to many of my old Marx lithographed toy trains.

Some of my less than mint cars have suffered from being stored temporarily in a damp basement. And being a bargain hunter at train meets, I'm a sucker for diving under vendor tables, rummaging in junk boxes and coming up with restorable Marx tin trains, at almost give-a-way prices.

So, I was delighted when I came across the FauxToys web site this summer. At last I found an inexpensive way to easily restore some of my worn and common Marx trains. At $8.50 a page and since each page contains two wraps, I'll be soon restoring a group of cars that will once again be circling around a Christmas tree layout! Bill Lango...

Interview with Donald Brill, Promoter Of The Northwest Jersey Train-O-Rama

Donald Brill has spent a good part of his adult life as a show promoter to what many collectors and vendors alike consider to be New Jersey's Premier Train Show, the Northwest Jersey Train-O-Rama, commonly referred to collectors as, "The Dover Show." Since his first show in 1976 through today, Don has witnessed first hand the changes and growth of the O-Gauge market. As a promoter to such a large and well attended show, and having his thumb on the pulse of the hobby, we decided to ask Don what his perspectives are on the O-Gauge hobby.
